Living My Life Like It's Golden !

BlogThePoshPeopleComment

Hello Poshpeople!

We made it to mid week, Hump Day Wednesday! Thankfully the weekend is almost here!  Oh how I love the weekend!

Today on the Blog I wanted to sprinkle a little sunshine. The color yellow being the sunshine. This hue looks amazing on many skin tones, and is great on women of color.

Yellow is now one of my go to colors. Pair that with ruffles and bam! We have my Living My Life Like It's Golden look. This dress is comfortable, flirty, and easy to move around in. I decided to wear this outfit on a night out on the town in Colombia. To complete my look, I paired my favorite earrings at the moment from The Poshpeople and clear heels with this dress.

I received so many compliments that evening while strolling around town. Don't you just love a good ruffle moment? Are you interested in this same exact look? The great thing about this outfit is that all of the items are still available for purchase online. Check out the links below!

Colorful Cartagena

BlogThePoshPeopleComment

Hello Poshpeople!

Hope you are outside enjoying your day, and the weather is just as beautiful as it was in Colombia during my vacation.  While in Cartagena I wanted to have a wardrobe just as beautiful and colorful as the city. I wore lots of loose, lightweight, and bright floral colors to reflect the colorful aspects of Colombia.

When traveling to warm weather climates I generally wear lightweight fabrics that flow and are easy to navigate around in. This way if I am traveling on an excursion or relaxing on a beach I don't feel trapped in uncomfortable clothes.

For this look I did what I do best, mix high and low fashion. This jumpsuit is from The Poshpeople and is so cute and comfortable.  I added my new favorite sunglasses from Quay Australia to this look and paired gold accessories also from the Poshpeople, sandals from Zara (from about two years ago) and this Gucci Belt.

I am the Queen of mixing high and low fashion. It is my favorite way to style and dress. The key is to pair what works together no matter the price. How do you like to shop? Do you like to mix fashion from different price points? Let me know how you like to shop in the comments below.

Maxed Out in Cartagena

Hello Poshpeople!!!

I know it's been a little while, but we are back and better than ever! How was your Memorial Day weekend? I hope you had as much fun as I did over the holiday. What did you do?

Well for me, I traveled to Colombia for the first time ever, and had such a great time. Not only was the trip culturally enlightening, but it was a load of fun. Oh, and I can't even begin to talk about all of the delicious food I had to eat! But who wants to talk about food? We are here to talk about Fashion!

For this trip I decided to shop my closet. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but me being a stylist and shopaholic means I have plenty of clothes in my closet already.

For 2018 one of my goals was to shop for myself less. I'm trying my best to stick to this goal ,which is extremely hard for me! I can't lie though, I stocked up on some shades for the summer, and bought a couple sandals for this trip. In the past I would normally go HAM shopping for trips,  but for this time around I am proud to say I refrained from balling out LOL!

This entire Maxi Skirt Look is from my closet! Can you believe that this was the first time wearing this outfit? My top still had the tags on it! I purchased most of these items a few years ago, so they aren't available in stores anymore. Fear not! If you're interested in achieving a similar look, I got you covered! Check out the dupe look details below.

Don't worry I have plenty more colorful looks from this trip to blog about. So stay tuned and make sure you are subscribed to our blog for my outfit ideas.
